Studio - Project 2: Fashion design collective

Our second project is midway through right now. It's a small urban infil project, with the main focus on the facade. The small kiosk in the photos will be "demolished". The new building will be a shared studio, workshop, and showroom for five young fashion designers (hypothetically, of course). My concept of the hidden vs. revealed was inspired by an approach to the site along the lake it overlooks, and the parallels that concept has with clothing. My facade will attempt to create a variety of working environments for the designers inside by manipulating of the amount of light penetrating the facade.

Studio - Project 1: Utrecht University library models

Our groups models of the Utrecht library by architect Wiel Arets. Floor plans and drawings were hard to find for this building, but we got an A-, so I think we did a pretty good job figuring out the spaces. The second model pictured will be taken with us when we actually get to see this building on our long study tour. We'll get to see how close we got to the actual building then.
